AMT/D/3

AMT/D/3

Mrs Turing's TS and MS copies of correspondence between AMT and I.J. [Jack] Good. 25 July, c. 28 July, and 18 Sept. 1948. Regarding numbers of neurons in the brain, and machine intelligence. Also refers to the 'Shaun-Michie' chess-playing machine described by Michie and included in A/11. (These are additional copies of K/1/76a, K/1/76b and K/1/77).

Note: Image 04b is a properly orientated image of the document as held (the top-to-bottom orientation matches the orientation of 04a). It is likely to be the result of Mrs Turing inserting the sheet and the carbon paper wrongly into her typewriter, which is why she wrote the contents out in red ink on the other side of the sheet (visible as image 04a). The text on image 04b is not materially different from that on 04a. If you require to see the image on 04b and cannot digitally reverse it for legibility, please contact the archivists who will send you a copy of that page, reversed in both directions.

Paper, 5 sh. in envelope.
